According to the National Cancer Institute
"How Cancer Arises"
"Cancer is a genetic disease that is, it is caused
by
changes to genes (in the nucleus) that control the
way our cells function, especially how they grow
and divide."
"Each person's cancer has a unique combination of
genetic changes. As the cancer continues to grow,
additional changes will occur. Even within the
same tumor, different cells may have different
genetic changes."
|
To test the validity of this theory,
Seyfried points
to the various nuclear transfer experiments which
failed to confirm this genetic origin of cancer.
(3.) the cancer cell nucleus did NOT produce cancer
when transferred to a healthy cell, the cytoplasm (4.)
containing cancer mitochondria produced cancer.
This research has been ignored by mainstream Cancer
Research because it does not fit the narrative. You can
read Seyfried's Paper for yourself,
Cancer as
a metabolic disease: implications for novel therapeutics |
The view confirmed by the nuclear transfer experiments,
is that Cancer is a metabolic disturbance of
the cell,
a
rescue event whereby it functions
in a fermentation
metabolism rather than an oxidative
metabolism.
The problem
with this view is that it does
not involve the use of pharmaceuticals
in treatment. Pharmaceutical companies
are the main source of research funds.

Christofferson, Cancer as a
metabolic disease,
is an easy read. "The genetic mutations observed
in
some cancers are a downstream effect of defective
energy metabolism in the mitochondria (the energy
stations inside your cells)"

V02 max.
V02 max is defined as the maximal volume of oxygen
that the body can deliver to the working muscles per minute.
This
function is performed by the mitochondria within the cell so
V02 max is effectively a measure of mitochondria health.
The Catalyst program below discusses the role of high intensity
exercise in improving mitochondria health and function,
this is a crucial part of the cancer story. |
Catalyst - High Intensity Exercise
"While Martin's team have measured a rapid increase
in the number of mitochondria following sprints,
David Bishop has just discovered they make a huge
improvement in function .."
|
You can also have a profound effect on
mitochondria health
and function, through diet as discussed by Mercola below. |
Mercola - Fat as Fuel
"To optimize your mitochondrial function through
diet, you need to eat so that your body is able
to burn fat as its primary fuel rather than sugars.
Ketogenic diets are very effective for this, as is fasting"
